After an always chaotic, but hilarious queensnight and waking up with red-wite-blue flags on my cheek at a civil time (somewhere around noon), I decided to explore the great orange city instead of lingering in my neighbourhood, like every year- youth traditions.

Excessively crowded and noisy, but a blissful day to crash at a café and just watch people drinking beer under the guise of nationalism, while restoring the energy that got lost by dancing all night.

But there comes a point where even watching gets too much for your day-after mood and you just bike to your quarter's schoolyward and remind yourself what you once did on this day.

On one of the less terribly hot nights, with a patch on each arm, I went outside wearing this simple outfit yet very me. Vaccinations against typhoid flowing through my veins and so excited about going to China in 5 days- our 13-hour flight leaves on Saturday- I completely neglected you guys. Seriously- why does in the summer every day passes like it's an hour or something? Not that I'm complaining. Some rest, space and time for myself was exactly what I needed, but I found that out only when I got it haha! Ofcourse we did celebrate the world championship final last sunday. It doesn't really matter that we didn't win (properly) to me, it's such joy when everyone is wearing the same color (even though it's extremely ugly) and cheers at eachother.

Now I'm gonna enjoy SATC season 3- I downloaded it and it's good quality! Wonder what I've done do get myself this karma.

Aaahhhh our trip to England was amazing! We visited Oxford, Cambridge and London. Those universities were lovely. Such a mindblowing atmosphere.. you immediately consider working a little bit harder at school, haha. We slept at a host family, which was kind of terrible seen the space we got four the four of us (about 2 square ft haha), but I really loved diving in another society just like that. Our host mom was a darling! All the English people we talked to said we Dutchies speak excellent English, so funny to hear. I'd looove to go to college for a year in England somewhere (alone the Starbucks everywhere already pulls me).

Ofcourse I did some diehard shopping over there (needed another bag on the way back). I'll show my new catches to you sooon!

And atm I'm enjoying freedom, youth and my friends more than ever. On the 17th of July I'm going to China, so excitedddddd!

I'm off to England! Tomorrow at 7 pm (the person who made this up must have had some very violent ideas about how much rest teenagers should get) a bus is leaving and up until Saturday I'll be wandering around in Oxford, Cambridge and - last best - LONDON. Caaan't wait, due to an extreme overload of school the last weeks I haven't been able to shop in like a century. My shopping gene is very much screaming by now. I'll see you guys in 5 days!

And I've been wanting glasses like these like, since I was a baby? They're 100% fake and cost 6 euros.

My last post on this big, large, huge, enormous, immense, incredibly unmeasurable bulky computer. Last Thursday was my birthday. Though in the middle of testweek, we still managed to create an inbetween-coffeepause with an iced latte at Brandmeesters. At night I invited some friends, and we had delicioussss wok food. (it's practically fastfood, but I LOVE wok to go, haha)

Some pictures of my sofa (kind of turned into my bed: I fell asleep while learning all the time, and got a little used to it haha) with my big bday gift: a laptop! Also shown on the pictures; iPod docking system pigstyle! Laura and I got it for our sweet 16 party. Has become a necessity of life and VIP guest to yet-to-plan parties; within a radius of 10km you can still hear the music, my neighbours love it! cough

oooooh I love this adidas tshirt! I bought it in Berlin about a month ago, and it's sooo adorable. and oh I adore how it can be combined in a million ways! and these hareem pants. I wear them all the time. they're like pyjamas. like a very soft blanket, wrapped around your legs in the very most comfortable way. like swimming in a million pillows. I might go a little far right now, but it's testweek, after cafeine is stress the main element in my veins. honestly- I think I stress more than I breathe.

however! you see me sitting here in a very green, very dutch meadow. (I don't just sit there for fun! we were on family weekend with my grandpa, who meanwhile is so old that his hair shines from greyness) Holland can be beautiful.. but only when the sun shines haha.

Thursday, 12.35. HEMA. Two girls, on a cute little table with a 2 meter trace of ice coffee to it (the guy who ALWAYS works there; we call him Jesus, because he wears his hair like he hangs on a cross! no disrespect to believers; had like, extremely overdone one, there was a huge dung on mine therefrom the trace. ofcourse we don't spill in public places...) eating a minipizza, sipping that exact ice coffee which had caused those pretty droplets. One of them, suddenly, takes something out of her bag. It's a garment. It's black. It comes out of the blue. It's a three-quarters arm blazer! Then she gets a little box from her bag, which says Fisherman's Friends. Is she just freshing her breath and dressing a little more formal?

NO. She's not. Out of the box, she conjures forth a needle, a little spill with black thread on it, a cute little scissor, and a golden button. Doesn't the three-quarters arm blazer already have a button? It has. Do you want to know what color it is? No, you don't (black).

It's been so long!

My trip to South Africa was crazy. So impressive, so much fun, I met amazing people, I just had the time of my life. I'll never forget those moments and the wonderful country. Just some pics here!

I bought some bangles, a hat and a cap- not much shopping as you see. But my money is here and I'll very probably hop into the city the other day. Next monday I'll have to face the fact that freedom is over.. don't want to think about it!

As you all know, I am fond of marine stripe, and on my train trip through Holland I picked up this overbleached, damaged and studded short in the Bershka sale. It's perfect in its kind I think. Perfect for hot days, and for South Africa where I'm going in 5 days! The holidays here at home are great too, just some going to the city, meeting friends (though so many people are out of town) and chilling alot. Don't want this to ever end, haha.

Remember the great legend with blog titles? What else can I do, I love the song.. weird that in another situation (when he wasn't dead for instance ..) I would not pay so much attention to his music, but when a person dies, suddenly everyone sees the sunny side. And his music is great so I found out..

My fringe has grown to another haircut, which is great so now it hasn't got that annoying 'inbetween-length' anymore. I am leaving sunday eve for another week away, this time with 2 of my girls to travel trough Holland and visit cities (Rotterdam, Maastricht, Amsterdam) and not to mention SHOP!

Always a lovely moment, when you wear your new shoes for the first time.. friends asking 'gossh are those new?' and you say, grinning, 'yeahh just bought!'. I couldn't resist doing some (anti-stress? testweek coming up, aargh) shopping yesterday to get these beauties, not to mention I really needed them! And I already own this pocket tank in mint color, but I am so fond of pockets on tanks! So when I spotted this one I was like, why not.. I'm fifteen now, so I could at least reward myself for that big moment in my life, right?
I just got this camera so I haven't really found out all of the features yet, still suck at them. So don't mind the pictures not being perfectly set pleaase.

These two jumpsuits are just.. plain perfection. Both by River Island and purchased in Amsterdam today, where I was with my bf & mother. I can't wait to pair the grey one with sandals, bangles.. it can be accesoirized all kinds of ways which is goood. The right one is, ofcourse, my big luuuv since it is marine striped and that garuantees much wearing. I also bought a cute white short at Zara (you'll see later).
On my birthday (ohh just 5 days!) or the day after I'll do a bigass Topshop order, together with bf, we were planning on doing big shopping in Amsterdam today but turned out to buy not thát much. I am satisfied though, my goals were shorts and playsuits so I held onto my plan; this is big for me. It was needed too because high summer's just around the corner! But, money's left for Topshop now and he's gonna know it..

This weekend is crazy: tomorrow we'll do the play at the Amateur Theater festival, sunday the whole play, and monday evening the last performance. Will be busy for almost the entire weekend so not so much blogging, but hey I love what I'm gonna do and I'll keep you guys satisfied with some inspiration pics or so the next few days. I kinda cut my own fringes this morning. They were starting to get too long and I don't have time to see the haircutter so I grabbed my scissors and there I go, haha. You don't really see it- I hope that's a good thing. And here, my circle scarf, homemade! First it was a random pashmina, I cut off the fringes and sewed the ends together, very simple. I hope to get better on the sewing machine soon and make good friends with him so he makes me a bunch of cute skirts.. hmm.

So, I've been tagged my Ultimate Fashion Lover and I have to write 20 uninteresting facts about myself. That's not very hard, I think I could make a list like this with over 200 points haha but here I go:

1. I hate physics, chemistry and maths.

2. One of my best guy-friends is named Matthijs, and for his birthday, Laura and I made him this tee.

3. I'm very afraid of getting old, wrinkled and most of all: boring.

4. I get the best outfit ideas in the late afternoon, when rumbling through the house, everyone's closet and trying to avoid homework.

5. I love drama, acting, doing plays etc. The play I'm in is (among other) being performed at the Amateur Theater Festival in Utrecht, saturday at 15.00.

6. One of the best birthday presents I will be getting this year is Gossip Girl coming back on the TV.

7. I loooove to windsurf. I did it two summers in Italy and it's just.. amazing.

8. After school, I want to live in Paris.

9. When I found out that the light pink KURTIS brogues from Topshop were no longer on the site, I sent them this letter:

Could you please, PLEASE tell me what happened to the KURTIS flat brogues in the light pink color, categorized in Shoes, Smart flat shoes? A few days ago, they were still on the site. Now, they're competely gone. Only the yellow and light blue ones are left. But I was incredibly in love with the pink ones! I thought they'd look so stunning with the Foil dot sweater (in Tops, hoodies & sweats) and a denim legging! 16. I think I have a DIY addiction. When I didn't make, remake, re-invent of cut something in several pieces for one week, I get phenonema: concentrating issues, nervously surfing on the web for new ideas, not being able to take a look at my closet because I WANT something new.

17. Whitney has always been the nicest girl in The Hills. Audrina is okay too, but Justin is just .. so .. gross.

18. The marine look is one of the best fashion inventions ever. I don't know why, I have this unstoppable love for it.

19. I feel the most comfortable in an oversized sweater-

and here's a fashion confession: sometimes, when my feet are cold, I wear.. UGGs.

Being a marine man today. I´m fond of marine stripes and the blue, white, mixed with some gold kinda thing. In the last picture I played a little with the shadows so the picture gets less lighter, the white stripes stand out even more and the picture gets a kinda dark atmosphere: it gives me a bit weird, strange feeling. And I look so small in the pictures! IRL I'm kind of an average length so not that tiny as I look here haha.

I'm so fond of this hat, today I created a sequin band around it with a piece of material I'm gonna sew on a tee later on. And this H&M trend marine shirt is basically my favourite tee I own, I love it so much; the sleeves, the stripes, the pocket. It's perfect, H&M often creates perfection (just as my shoees who are, actually, also my favourite shoes).

Uploading these pics, I realize that I've posted an outfit with this tunic already not so long ago. Okay today was a really traumatizing day. My wallet was stolen! It happened in a busy store and I was so frustrated, wanted to hit anyone for taking my money but I couldn't ofcourse. Now I lost 45 euros. Dearest friend Laura let me borrow money from her so our shoppingspree wouldn't be entirely screwed up, she's the besttt.

And now about my purchases; because doesn't everyone just desperately long for a kitch parrot tee with golden sequins? Well, I do and I fulfilled my craving a H&M, haha. Also got those very cool golden-wood (and also a black one with gold on it, but I left that one at home) bangles, and those LOVELY fringe sandals. Actually I was planning on getting the infamous Van Haren fringesandals, but than I spotted these and they were even better! (more fringe/more suede/more material on my foot=more happy me)

So, I wore my dad's hat today, haha. I'm thinking about taking sewing classes next year, I think it'd be fun to get handy with a sewing machine and make everything you want. We don't have a sewing machine at home, but maybe I can borrow it from my grandma or something.

Why do all the pictures you upload on Blogger become so small? IRL they are much sharper, does anyone know why this is or if I'm doing something wrong?

Anyway, I did some cleaning up on my room today. Finally hung up my Paris poster! On I shredded out some beautiful pictures out of ELLE and ELLEgirl editorials, hung up the cover from the Beatles' Abbey Road (yeah it's the real thing! me proud haha) and laid down some wonderful blue satin sheets on my bed.

Also added some rock'nroll to this skirt, which I love, but think is a little bit too old-lady-like.

Went to H&M today just to get kneehighs, great spending of your day. Just had to have them after I saw that picture of Carrie in SATC the movie wearing them. This outfit is quite SATC-like to me (and looked great with my pink trenchcoat!). It's cool to inspire outfits on movies or TV series where the dressing is amazing.

These stockings are not sooo high and also quite thin so they're summer kneehighs I guess, haha. Also got a rail for my amazing Paris poster (I'll show it later!).

BTW, the outfit could go well with my new oxfords too, but I'm staying away from heels for a couple of days. My parents keep on nagging about how bad they are for your back and stuff (and I still have to grow). Well, making outfits without using heels could be turned into an inspiring challenge, I guess. Heels add this sexy chic thing into your outfit and when you don't wear them, you must get this addition from something else.

My party yesterday night was crazy, hilarious and lots of fun. Tonight I'll crash down on my bed like a broken plane but for now the sleep deprivation doesn't bother me that much, so I take advantage of that haha.

I noticed today that I own 2 pairs of black leggings, so I decided to DIY one of them. Wanted to make small rips in them, but I didn't know it would turn out like round holes. But I like it anyway.

And yay yay dubble yay my new heels/oxfords came in today, they're so rediciously perfect.
And they're black, which is a pro, black matches with everything but if pretty, doesn't bore. My mum was happier about these than about my purple plateau heels so I can wear these without argues about heel height haha.

Ever since I first saw this amazing Ray Ban ad, it's been screaming to me like "OH MY GOD , YOU JUST GÓT TO GET YOURSELF SOME HEAVYCOLORED WAYFARERS". (It's saying it by the words COLORIZE and NEVER HIDE - those words sound like great plans)
And I kind of like what it screams, so friday (when me & bf are going on a vintage/nonvintage shopping trip in the cityy and get ourselves everything we want- we both got money, oh what a wonderful feeling is that) I'll look for it here and there and hopefully I come home with a pair of red, purple, pink, green, blue or two-colored Wayfarers (well, fake ofcourse, I'm not thát rich).

Today was a relaxed day, tomorrow a bit of school, and Thursday the birthday party of a good friend of mine! I'm looking forward to thattt.

Today in the city (while getting him a present) bought a basic grey tee and transfer paper, I'm thinking about DIY'ing this Stella McCartney print on it (from her summer 09 Capsule collection), print by Peter Blake. Well I don't wanna REMAKE it (that would be pretty difficult seen that this >>>
is white, and my tee is (light)grey), but it's about the clouds, the ambiance, the featherlight feeling of the shirt, because that's what I like about it.

We all know it, Carrie can't do different from dressing amazing. You won't spot her in some threaded old sweater with worn-out sneakers. And not only when she goes out or meets with Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda: even when she's getting a magazine, she always looks fabulous. Especially- she never dresses down.

I particularly love all of the studded belts she uses in her outfits, her over-the-knee-stockings (so cute!), and the ruched jacket (left, below). Ofcourse, also the incredible heels she wears (do mention: the same ones on the pictures above in the middle, and below both pictures. Wow, even Carrie wears clothes (okay, they're shoes) several times!). And I won't do shortage to all of her dresses. Well, actually everything's just gorgeous.

It was soooo dark, and outside it's hailing. So crappy outfitpics, I'm sorry!

I just came back from the city, I got a golden bangle (see under) from my dearest bf, she bought it too. I like it because it's actually a leopard print, but than in the bangle. I also got this keychain (could use it as a necklace or brooch or something) with this Hindu god Shiva on it, think it's quite cool actually.
